This year's master class for individuals who have completed our 100-Hour Comprehensive training will be online this year. The title is, Beyond the "How" Question: From "I Don't Know" to Developing a Hypnosis Treatment Plan.

Knowing how to zero in on the relevant issue(s) to address in therapy is one of Michael’s greatest strengths that he brings to his teachings. As he often says, “a hypnosis session is only as good as its target.” Therefore, learning how to recognize those targets and knowing what to do once you have them in sight will be the focus of this year’s Master Class.

This online Master Class focuses on helping make the transition from the clinical interview to the delivery of a well-aimed hypnosis session a smoother, more deliberate process. This course is for those clinicians who feel they would benefit from revisiting the general topic of asking the “how” question and going more deeply into the question of what to do next.

We will meet for 3-hours on 4 separate occasions described in the link below.

    TRAINING DATES, TIMES and MORE...

This 100-hour clinical hypnosis and strategic psychotherapy course is a comprehensive training for health care professionals only to learn and integrate the skills of clinical hypnosis into their practice.

Traditionally, we have offered this course as an in-person live event in the beautiful coastal city of Carlsbad, California. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the U.S. in March, 2020 it prompted us to complete our 2020 100-Hour training online. It proved to be a much better experience than we were expecting and participants were pleased to have completed the training in this way. As a result, we have the confidence that this course can indeed be offered successfully online. With the current uncertainties surrounding the effects of the pandemic on travel and group gatherings we've made the decision now that the 2021 courses will be offered completely as an ONLINE EVENT.

The small group cohesiveness becomes an integral part of this training experience as no new participants can join the group once it begins. Michael Yapko's structured approach to teaching, his humor and emphasis on practical and hands-on learning makes this an outstanding professional and personal experience whether in-person or online.

In this online master class we will look at people through the lens of cognitive style and HOW they make the choices they make. Instead of following the therapy tradition of analyzing WHY someone makes the choices they make, The Discriminating Therapist focuses on how people choose. We will especially focus on what they failed to either notice or discriminate in their global response to some circumstance and on over-general thinking utilizing hypnosis.

In this master class, designed for those with previous hypnosis training, we will meet for four 3-hour segments on March 6, 7, 13 and 14 from 9:00-12:00pm (AEST) local Sydney time.
